Membership
Credit unions are government-chartered to serve specific, restricted groups of people, based on some common bond. Services are typically custom-designed to meet the specialized needs of the field of membership. Chevron Federal Credit Union's field of membership is:
- Employees of Chevron Corporation, its wholly-owned subsidiaries, and select affiliates worldwide
- Employees of the Law Offices of Pillsbury, Winthrop LLP
- Chevron branded jobbers and dealers, Federal lubricant marketers (jobbers) and their employees and families
- Selected contractors of Chevron Corporation, Pillsbury, Winthrop LLP and Aramco Services Company
- Family of CFCU members — parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren, spouse or domestic partner, siblings — even roommates who share your household expenses
- Chevron Corporation Retirees (This includes retirees from Unocal 76, Texaco Corporation and any other Chevron merger company).
Once you join, you're a member for life regardless of changes in your employment.
The Field of Membership is open to spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this Credit Union; employees of this Credit Union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment; members of their immediate families or households; organizations of such persons; Chevron Corporation, wholly owned subsidiaries, and the above named affiliated companies.
*Unrelated persons living with you who share your household expenses (e.g. roommates, domestic partners).
