It’s okay to dream big. For those who might not have a 20% down payment available, Chevron Federal Credit Union can help with an 80-10-10 mortgage.

Most financial institutions will require costly private mortgage insurance when a loan recipient doesn’t have a 20% down payment. With our 80-10-10 mortgage, you can put as little as 10% down, with no private mortgage insurance necessary.* 

How it works:

  • Pay as little as 10% of your purchase price as a down payment
  • Take out 80% of your purchase price in a first mortgage
  • Take out 10% of your purchase price in a second mortgage


  • Available for jumbo and conforming loans with no prepayment penalty
  • Borrowers’ credit scores must be at least 680 with up to 50% debt-to-income ratio
  • Total purchase price of up to $1.5 million for a first mortgage and $300,000 for a second mortgage is allowed
